Laurina presented in a talk session at the International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) conference( 5.5.23 Stockholm, Sweden) and a poster at the Vision Science Society (VSS) conference (21.5.23 Saint Pete, USA) her Ph.D. project. In this project, Laurina shows that when making perceptual decisions on low-level stimuli, individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder integrate prior, likelihood, and reward information in the same suboptimal manner as individuals typically developed.
Congratulation to Bahiya, her manuscript “The role of spatial attention in crowding and feature binding” has been published in Journal of Vision.
Bahiya first paper from her M.A. thesis is now accepted to journal of vision!
Kewan-Khalayly B., Migo M., & Yashar A., (in press) Transient attention equally reduces visual crowding in radial and tangential axes. Journal of Vision
Laurina presented her study on decision-making in autism in VSS 2022, St Pet, Florida.
Congratulation to Laurina on her first VSS presentation! Laurina presented her recent finding on decision making in ASD, showing that contrary to some dominant views, individuals on the spectrum utilize perceptual prior similarly to typically developed individuals.
Welcome Dr. Kendra Kandana Arachchige!
We welcome a new member to our team, Dr. Kendra Kandana Arachchige! who will conduct her postdoc research. Good luck, and enjoy your stay at Haifa!
Congratulation to Mikel for publishing his article “Mixture-modeling approach reveals global and local processes in visual crowding” in Scientific Reports!
Dr. Mikel Jimenez Presented a Poster at the 2021 ECVP
Mikel presented his poster titled “Crowding Occurs at Different Stages of Visual Processing” at the the 43rd European Conference on Visual Perception. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Bahiya Kewan for getting accepted to present her study ‘The role of transient attention on the inner-outer asymmetry of crowding’ as a poster in the 2021 VSS!
Bahiya will present her poster during the 2021 V-VSS Annual Meeting. The poster is scheduled for Sunday, May 23, 2021, 8:00 – 10:00 am EDT.
Congratulations to Bahiya Kewan on receiving a scholarship for graduating her MA studies with honors!
Bahiya received a university scholarship for an early submission of her master’s thesis and for finishing with an excellent GPA!
Congratulations to Bahiya Kewan on presenting a poster in the upcoming ISCOP
Bahiya will present a poster titled “The role of transient attention on the inner-outer asymmetry of crowding” in the upcoming ISCOP, conference, which will take place in February 24th, 2021, between 3-5pm (GMT+2).
